As you may be aware from other schools in the local area conducting their own lockdown drills, there is a need for our academy to do the same. The lockdown drill is there to help students to know and understand the procedures to follow if there was ever a risk to their safety in school. We must caveat this point by stating that there are no known threats to our students, staff or school at this time. Conducting lockdown training and drills is required by our Board of Trustees as one of many measures of taking every precaution to ensure the safety of our students and staff, which also includes our fire drills and safeguarding training.

The lockdown drill will occur today, 21 September 2023. During the lockdown drill the school will be closed for the short duration that the drill takes to be run which will mean no phone calls to be answered and no admittance to the school building. We ask for your patience during this time if you are wishing to contact or enter the school.
