Washington Academy Commemorates Remembrance with Whole-School Assembly
Washington Academy marked Remembrance this week with a thoughtful and respectful whole-school assembly. Students who are part of the cadets proudly attended in uniform, demonstrating their commitment and honouring those who have served.
As part of the commemoration, students across the academy also took part in a creative remembrance activity, decorating poppies that will be displayed on the school’s Christmas tree. This meaningful gesture allowed students to reflect on the significance of remembrance while contributing to a shared symbol of respect within the school community.
The event encouraged students to pause, reflect, and recognise the bravery and sacrifice of those who have served, as well as the importance of unity and peace.
