As a school we do not tolerate any form of bullying and encourage students to speak up when they have had any unkind interactions. Any negative interactions are investigated with appropriate outcomes such as guidance, medication, consequences where necessary and building resilience. These interactions are also monitored closely to ensure there are no further repeat incidences leading to bullying.

Our mental health support offer is pivotal in supporting our efforts to prevent bullying at Washington Academy. We know if we can improve the confidence and build self-acceptance in our young people, we can minimise the chances of negative social interactions that could lead to bullying.
